Tablet shipments in India registered a sharp decline of 18.6 per cent year-on-year due to poor demand from consumers. According to IDC, the tablet shipments during Q1 2017 came in at 7,01,000 units, a marginal decline of 2.2 per cent from 7,16,000 units shipped in the previous quarter.
